Keep trees in the forest: buy recycled paper products! In honor of Earth Day, we’ve gathered some of our favorite products made from recycled paper.
Some are for everyday use (toilet paper!) and others are irresistibly fun. Take a look and incorporate a few of these products (or others like them) into your life. And remember, when you’re buying any paper product, always look for the highest post-consumer recycled content available. Let’s keep trees in the forest!
Richlite FSC Counter Tops
Richlite Company’s FSC r100 is a counter top material made from 100% recycled paper (post-consumer waste) and certified by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), a global non-profit organization devoted to encouraging and monitoring responsible management of the world’s forests. The FSC r100 counter top has a matte finish that brings a warm soft ambience to a room that’s rarely achieved through stone or solid surfaces. The material is dense and durable, heat resistant up to 350 degrees, and stain resistant. Richlite surfaces come in standard ¾“, 1“, and 1¼“ thicknesses, and 4’x8’ and 5’x12’ sheets. GreenFiber Home Insulation
GreenFiber Insulation is a nontoxic cellulose insulation that consists of 85% recycled paper, mostly recovered, post-consumer paper fiber that contains additives for fire and fungal resistance. Each 40 sq. ft. bag of GreenFiber insulation contains the equivalent of about 46 Sunday newspapers. GreenFiber Insulation is easy for homeowners to install. There is no measuring, cutting or pushing of large, bulky rolls into tight nooks and crannies. Installation involves only two people, one to place the insulation into the blowing machine and another to blow the insulation to the desired thickness, easily measured by attic rulers.
